I am a collector. In the beginning, I collected lots of physical things. I’ve had collections of heavy metal magazine posters, stamps, and books.
As the digital age took hold, I started collecting virtual items. I’ve got a huge mp3 collection, used to be a digital librarian, and have an embarrassing number of books that I’ve never read.
In May 2010, I gave up a lucrative (yet unfulfilling) position as a copy center manager to become a freelance writer. I was living the disposable income lifestyle, but the dramatic pay cut made me start looking at how to save money more closely.
Being the collector, I started collecting tips, tricks, and advice which would make my life go smoother. I’ve been helped immensely by the advice that’s out there, and I wanted to form an easily read collection of that advice.
I love all kinds of things, from playing video games to hanging out at science fiction conventions. I love chilling with smart people and talking with them about how they can make their lives more awesome. I enjoy pinball, pen collecting, long philosophical debates on nothing, and watching folks.
If you like this site, want to talk with me about freelance writing, want to submit a listing or three, or merely want to yammer, I’d love to hear from you. I can be reached at justyammer (at) gmail (dot) com. I generally respond to mail within a day or so.
